REPORTING RESULTS

With each surveying event, two reports are generated for each group.

The first report summarizes answers and provides a group average by factor. The answers of an individual are listed by confidential code, not by name. The report can show if there are individual children who are in distress and could benefit from intervention. Though again, never by name. If the school chooses, Living Consciously will (for a modest fee) generate a letter to the parent(s)/guardian(s) and request permission to generate an individual report for use by school counselors.

The second report provided to educators take the group average from the first report and presents them in a spreadsheet format, showing a numerical value for each factor and each group of factors. Individual and groups of factors reported pertain to:
  • Personal, internal well-being:
    • Thought
    • Feeling
    • Physical
    • Spirit
  • Relationships
  • Social
  • Academics
  • Safety
  • Parental involvement
  • Substance abuse
  • Sexual activity (only asked as age-appropriate)
  • Overall rating, based on all factors measured, including environmental and peer factors
  • Participant rating, based on only the personal choices of those surveyed. Also for the participant, we break out:
    • Self-esteem
    • Decision making
    • Interest in school and academics
    • Resistance to violence
Results of follow-up surveys are added onto this spreadsheet. The changes between the baseline and the follow-up surveys illustrate living, dynamic movement within the student population and provide invaluable insight for educators, parents and youth.
